SC International Night
International Night was a tremendous success at Sea Cliff Elementary School! The multi-cultural celebration featured live music, ethnic dance, games, crafts and delicious foods from all over the world!
During International Night, students enjoyed wonderful ethnic activities and crafts, food and cultures, and/or games from the following places: Greece, Israel, China, Iran, Jamaica, Norway, Japan, Latino-America, Italy, Russia, Ireland, Malta, Canada, German, and Australia. Facts and educational materials were also available at each of the booths.
During this fabulous evening, the entertainment was provided by a number of local companies and artists. Additionally, the Sea Cliff Singers performed led by Ms. Ashley Hassett. Global works of art were made by the SC students and placed around the school and ethnic delicacies from the kitchens of Sea Cliff families were available in the International Café for all to enjoy! Thank you all for coming to make this night spectacular!
Congratulations to the entire committee consisting of over 60 parents and to all of the volunteers who helped make International Night a success. The event was sponsored by the Sea Cliff PCA. Deep appreciation goes out to the staff at Sea Cliff, the teachers who planned and organized activities that incorporated multi-cultural themes and gave the students a chance to talk about their cultural backgrounds. In addition, many thanks to the custodial crew who worked hard throughout the night, lending an extra hand and keeping the school clean. Bravo on a successful evening that was enjoyed by all!
