North Shore SEPTA
Special Education Parent-Teacher's Association
P.O Box 82, Sea Cliff, NY 11579
Dear Parents and Teachers,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!
We invite all parents, families, and teachers of the North Shore Schools community to join and support our organization. We bring together parents, teachers, administrators, learning specialists, and professionals with an interest in the special education of children in our school district. SEPTA embraces all of the schools in the North Shore school district. Our Executive Board is comprised of parents from every school level (elementary, middle and high schools) who represent the needs of students across the educational continuum, K-12, as well as preschoolers with disabilities.
Through our membership dues, fundraising efforts, and grant opportunities, SEPTA seeks to fund and facilitate many worthwhile programs for the benefit of special education and regular education students and their families. Most significantly, SEPTA works to engage speakers with vast professional knowledge of special education and related disciplines to help parents understand and navigate their child’s educational process in the most effective manner possible.
Membership dues are $20.00 for a family (parents and students) and $10.00 for a (teacher/individual). Membership is on an annual basis, based on the academic school year, September through June, although one can join at any time. Come to a meeting, or send your dues contribution in the mail. Thank you for your interest.
We welcome you to SEPTA!
Sincerely,
The SEPTA Board |
